2nd Annual Farm Dance and Potluck
WHEN: Saturday, August 13, 4:00 - 11:00 p.m.
WHERE: Goethe Ranch in Rancho Cordova

WHAT: Family Fun, Potluck, & Contra/Big Circle Dance
Featuring: Bub the goat and Jerry of Ladybug Farms
Doors open at 4 p.m. with family activities including tractor rides, a farm tour, sustainable living demonstrations, open mic music (bring your instruments!), showing of The Future of Food, and more !! The potluck and barbecue will be from 5-6:30 p.m. - bring a dish - preferably organic, non-GE, and locally produced. It is also really appreciated if people
bring their own dishware, in order to cut down on waste. The dance will be from 6:30-11:00 p.m. (Note: there is no prior experience needed - just come prepared to be surrounded by good music and to have a good time
!!) Suggested Donations are adults - $10 to $20, children 12 to 18 - $5, children under 12 - free, and $8 for students. Anyone who brings a first-timer will receive $2 off. (No one turned away for lack of funds.)
Use of alternative transportation is encouraged, so please carpool, take public transportation, or bike from the nearby bike trail, if you can. If you are driving, go north on Mather Field Road from Hwy. 50, turn right (east) on Folsom Blvd., turn left (north) on Coloma Rd., go left (west) on Chase Dr., and go left (south) on 1-lane road with no-trespassing sign right before entrance pay booth to Hagan Community Park. The dance is being co-sponsored by Goethe Ranch in addition to Organic Sacramento.
