Introduction to Raw and Living Food
Level I Chef Certification
Taught by Michi Clements
This course was
created by Alyssa Cohen, http://alissacohen.com/
What is Raw food diet? How does it
work? Do I have to be 100% raw?
It sounds like such a new idea. But
it has been around quite a while. You can lose weight, you don’t have to
count calories and you can eat as much as you want. You can indulge in
pizza, enchiladas, chocolate cake -- all raw, of course. Have you ever heard
of such a great diet? The truth is, it’s more than just a diet -- it’s a way
of life. You will be amazed how your life and taste buds can change for the
better.
In this certification workshop the
following topics will be covered.
-
What a raw and live food diet is
-
· How
to make delicious raw meals that taste just like your favorite cooked food
dishes!
-
· How
to prepare gourmet raw meals, simply and easily
-
· How
to shop for raw foods
-

equipment use

May 6-8 (Fri. - Sun.) Davis on the college campus, The Whole
Earth Fair in it's 30th year. The biggest
ecologically based festival near Sacramento. You might have to go to
Davis to get a schedule. It's all volunteer and there is very little
money to put it together but every year it is a success and people just
watch for it on Mother's Day weekend. Lots of booths, speakers, music
and usually plenty of sun. It's always packed with hundreds of people.
May 20-22, Fri. Sat. Sun, Prescott, AZ, Viktoras
Kulvinskas (co-founder of Hippocrates Institute in FL),
Dr. Gabriel Cousens, David Wolfe, Jameth Sheridan etc. (rawspiritfest.com),

June, Lodi, NO Modern Manna this year Danny Vierra &
his wife just didn't have the energy or money to produce the festival

Modern Manna's Health & Healing Crusade
Mark's Comments: This is an outstanding opportunity for
our area. This 'health crusade' is sponsored by a Seventh Day
Adventist Organization, and will have a Christian theme.
Where else can you hear
John Robbins,
'Mad Cowboy'
Howard Lyman, Drs. Neal Banard,
John McDougall,
Lorraine Day, and
Charlotte Gerson near Sacramento? There are many great
speakers, classes, informational booths, raw food demos, delicious
food, all at the county fairgrounds. You may camp onsite if you
prefer. The entire event is free. This is a great
opportunity. Due to the Saturday Sabbath, on Saturday all the
vendor's booths will be closed until after sunset.
